Less tables feels great!

After open folding QQ twice early in the day due to just jamming Tableninja buttons I decided it was time to cut out some tables. I had been playing 20-24 tables all month (and have not been doing well at all) and I cut that to 14-18 and everything just felt so much better and I had a nice winning session. Results oriented, I know, blah blah blah. This will require more hours spent getting VPPs but I'll feel more comfortable sticking with the MSNL games if I can focus better and that will hopefully make up some of the reduced VPP/hr rate. Also, I need to finish up my playing day by 1am EST on weekdays, as after that I have to mix in a lot of 100nl to find decent games.

Also one hand for you guys, I couldn't find a really bad call today. :) After I folded this I wanted to puke when I saw their hands. BTN is reg, CO is fishy.

Hero (SB): $900.05
BB: $1,388.80
UTG: $1,512.60
MP: $1,175.40
CO: $571.80
BTN: $2,520.75

Pre-Flop: Q A dealt to Hero (SB)

2 folds, CO calls $6, BTN raises to $18, Hero calls $15, BB folds, CO calls $12

Flop: ($67.20) Q 7 A (3 Players)

Hero bets $45, CO calls $45, BTN calls $45

Turn: ($202.20) 4 (3 Players)

Hero bets $153, CO raises to $507.60 and is All-In, BTN raises to $2,456.55 and is All-In, Hero folds

River: ($1,370.40) 6 (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: $1,370.40 Pot ($3 Rake)

CO showed 6 A and WON $1,367.40 (+$796.80 NET)
BTN showed 7 Q and LOST (-$570.60 NET)

VPP COUNT: 40009

Did you have an old blog called gnomeontilt too and just stopped updating that one? I have a blog that you can check out by clicking my profile, and I'm going for sne, but I only play 100nl and not sure how far I'm going to get. I'm far behind pace already, and it seems like you should have an easy path with 600nl.

Didn't ever blog about poker before, so maybe it was an imposter =P

I added you to my blogroll if you want to trade links.

Meh, I'm not playing only 600nl, a mix of 100nl to 600nl, so it will still probably take as much as 1900 hours of play depending on average stake and number of tables. But yeah 100nl will take a serious, serious grind unless you move up to MSNL at some point in the year but its definitely not impossible. Good luck!
